Odbojkaši Slovenije, aktuelni viceprvaci Evrope, pobjednici su grupe 3 Svjetske lige, nakon što su u finalu savladali domaćina finalnog turnira Njemačku 3:1 (25-19, 25-18, 21-15, 25-20).
Ovom pobjedom Slovenija je stekla pravo učešća u grupi 2 Svjetske lige naredne sezone.
Treće mjesto osvojila je selekcija Grčke, koja je savladala reprezentaciju Kineskog Tajpeha rezultatom 3:1 (25-19, 22-25, 27-25, 25-18), a najviše poena u pobjedničkoj ekipi ostvario je Mitar Đurić, koji je ponikao u podgoričkoj Budućnosti.
Reprezentacija Crne Gore završila je takmičenje u Svjetskoj ligi grupa 3 na petom mjestu u generalnom plasmanu, od 12 selekcija koje su učestvovale, a samo jedan set falio je da bi se našli na finalnom turniru u Frankfurtu.
